TRANS FAT
On July 11, 2003 FDA published a final rule requiring manufacturers to list trans fatty acids, or trans fat, on the Nutrition Facts panel of conventional foods and some dietary supplements. Examples of the revised Nutrition Facts panel listing trans fat are displayed below. The specific requirements for nutrition labeling of food are found in 21 CFR 101.9.
