Parameter Groups:
A These parameters must be BOTTLED SEPARATELY and fixed if required.
B These parameters may be collected in the same container provided the REQUIRED SAMPLE VOLUMES are supplied. These require no chemical preservatives, but should be cooled to 4 o C as soon as possible after collection.
C These parameters must be BOTTLED SEPARATELY in 2 x 1,000 ml acetone-rinsed glass containers.
D These parameters may be collected in the same container provided the REQUIRED SAMPLE VOLUMES are supplied. These require preservation with SULFURIC ACID to pH <2 and should be cooled to 4 o C as soon as possible after collection.
E These parameters may be collected in the same container provided the REQUIRED SAMPLE VOLUMES are supplied. These require preservation with NITRIC ACID to pH <2 and should be cooled to 4 o C as soon as possible after collection.
F These parameters may be collected in the same container provided the REQUIRED SAMPLE VOLUMES are supplied. These samples must be filtered in the field (prior to being preserved) through a 0.45 um membrane filter. After filtration, the samples must be preserved with NITRIC ACID to pH <2 and should be cooled to 4 o C as soon as possible.
G These parameters may be collected in the same container provided the REQUIRED SAMPLE VOLUMES are supplied. These require no chemical preservatives, but should be cooled to 4 o C as soon as possible after collection.
M Sterile container with Sodium Thiosulfate capable of holding a volume of a minimum of 100 ml to neutralize any chlorine that may be present.

Footnotes:
[1] Holding times indicate length of TIME FROM SAMPLE COLLECTION.
[2] Holding time listed refers to the maximum allowable holding time prior to extraction of the sample. Sample extracts must then be analyzed within 40 days after extraction.
[3] Holding time listed refers to the maximum allowable holding time prior to extraction of the sample. Sample extacts must then be analyzed within 14 days after extraction.
